NEW DEVELOPMENTS FOR THE GIANT SIDE OF TEXAS MOTORCYCLE RALLY.

Well if you are reading this you are aware of the Giant Side of Texas Motorcycle Rally set to happen August 22-24, 2008. The infrastructure of corporation(GS Rally Inc.--a Texas Non-Profit Corporation, 501 (c) (3)) is done, the web site made its' deadline of December 16, 2007, and the logo is being re-designed as we speak. We have submitted the necessary paperwork for reserving the South Plains Fair grounds as the home base for the event, and for our vendors to show their wares. The Vendor information will be on the site within a few weeks. The is also a volunteer list being accumulated and we encourage anyone that would like to volunteer please contact us as soon as possible so we can put you to work. We do have one coordinator in place for the Vendor/Food aspect of the Rally. Jeff Smith of Lubbock will be in charge of Vendor spaces, and will make sure we have plenty to eat. Jeff comes to us with a varied background and has volunteered as the volunteer coordinator for the Buffalo Springs Triathlon for the past 12 years. In years past he also was in charge of a major fund racing activity while he was a resident of Muleshoe, Texas. We are also working very hard to encourage the Lubbock Music Festival to move their permanent date to our Rally date. This would give us a tremendous amount of music for the Rally and would give the Festival more attendance. We think it is a perfect fit and hope that we will know something very soon. We will also be working with the Lubbock Centennial Celebration to partner with them on this import milestone for the City of Lubbock's history.

We certainly appreciate the Lubbock Sports Authority for all the support they are giving this new venture for Lubbock. We also received a very nice note from Mayor Miller in complete support of the Rally. We know this is going to be a very positive activity for the city and we look forward to watching it grow.

Special note: The Rally will be sanctioned through the American Motorcycle Association and all of our General Liability Insurance will be provided through this sanction. This organization has been serving the motorcycle industry since 1924.
